Anders Lunde holds a master’s degree in molecular biology from the University of Oslo and a PhD in developmental neuroscience, with doctoral research involving transcription factors and RNA sequencing. He currently works as an IT developer and develops the production system behind Documentary Heaven.

Built over six months

Created and editorially directed by Anders Lunde using a custom production system developed over six months. AI assists research, drafting, programming, and visual production; I review and edit the material and make the final editorial decisions. Narration uses text-to-speech. Visuals combine custom-built scientific animations, AI-generated reconstructions, and credited scientific imagery.

The production system brings together research, script development, visual planning, animation, narration, and editing under a consistent editorial direction.

Different visuals, different roles

Scientific imagery

Photographs, micrographs, fossils, scientific figures, and measured data connect the story to observations.

Explanatory animation

Custom-built animations use AI-assisted programming to show mechanisms, relationships, and changes over time.

Generated reconstruction

AI-generated images and motion visualize scenes that cannot be filmed. They illustrate an interpretation, rather than serving as direct evidence.

Narration

The reviewed script is delivered using text-to-speech.

Sources and attribution

Each film has a permanent credits page. It brings together research references, visual sources—including material incorporated inside animations—and music credits.

Credits identify the creators and original sources of third-party material. Source links provide publication and licence details. These credits do not grant viewers permission to reuse third-party material.
